Westinghouse WGen20000c Portable Generator 20000W Electric Start

The Westinghouse WGen20000c is a portable gasoline generator built for home backup, workshops, and job sites, delivering up to 28,000 peak watts and 20,000 running watts from a 999cc Westinghouse V-Twin OHV engine. Push-button electric start removes the need for repeated manual pull-starting, and the digital display reports runtime hours, voltage, and frequency so operation and routine maintenance can be tracked.

The 65-liter fuel tank supports up to 11 hours of runtime at 25% load, and L14-30R and 14-50R outlets connect compatible equipment and transfer-switch installations. Total harmonic distortion under 5% suits compatible electronics, while integrated carbon monoxide detection automatically shuts the unit down when dangerous CO levels are detected. A heavy-duty steel frame, reinforced handles, and wheels help with movement and positioning.

Key Features

Highlights

High-Capacity Power Output

With 28,000 peak watts and 20,000 running watts, the WGen20000c is built to support demanding power requirements. It can operate compatible household appliances, workshop equipment, and jobsite tools when their combined starting and running wattage stays within the generator's limits.

Powerful 999cc V-Twin OHV Engine

The heavy-duty 999cc Westinghouse V-Twin OHV engine provides the power needed for demanding applications. Its design is intended to deliver dependable performance for backup power and portable worksite use.

Convenient Push-Button Electric Start

The generator features an electric-start system, designed to simplify operation without the need for repeated manual pull-starting.

Large 17.17-Gallon Fuel Tank

The 17.17-gallon fuel tank helps support extended operation between refueling stops. Under specified conditions, the generator can run for up to 11 hours at 25% load. Actual runtime varies with connected equipment, load, and operating conditions.

Versatile Power Connections

The generator includes L14-30R and 14-50R outlet configurations for compatible equipment and power applications. These connections can support appropriate transfer-switch installations when the electrical system, outlet ratings, and installation requirements are compatible.

Important: A qualified electrician should verify the required connection, transfer-switch compatibility, and installation procedure before connecting a generator to a home's electrical system.

Power Quality for Compatible Electronics

With a specified total harmonic distortion (THD) of less than 5%, the WGen20000c is designed to provide relatively clean power for compatible electronic equipment. Always check the requirements of sensitive devices before connecting them.

Integrated Carbon Monoxide Protection

The built-in carbon monoxide (CO) detection system is designed to shut down the generator when dangerous CO levels are detected. This safety feature is an additional safeguard, not a replacement for safe operating practices.

Rugged Steel Frame & Mobility Features

Built for demanding environments, the WGen20000c features a durable steel frame, reinforced handles, and heavy-duty wheels to help with movement and positioning. Its portable design makes it suitable for locations where substantial power is needed.

Digital Monitoring Display

The digital display provides operating information, including runtime hours, voltage, and frequency, helping monitor generator operation and plan routine maintenance.

Compatibility

The WGen20000c provides L14-30R and 14-50R outlets for compatible equipment and power applications, and can support appropriate transfer-switch installations when the electrical system, outlet ratings, and installation requirements are compatible. With total harmonic distortion under 5%, it is designed to provide relatively clean power for compatible electronic equipment; always check the requirements of sensitive devices before connecting them.

How to use

Use the push-button electric start to begin operation, then monitor runtime hours, voltage, and frequency on the digital display. Connect compatible equipment through the L14-30R and 14-50R outlets, and have a qualified electrician verify the required connection, transfer-switch compatibility, and installation procedure before connecting the generator to a home's electrical system.

Always operate the generator outdoors, well away from occupied buildings, doors, windows, and air intakes. The integrated carbon monoxide detection system shuts the unit down when dangerous CO levels are detected, as an additional safeguard rather than a replacement for safe operating practices.

Warranty

The WGen20000c is covered by a 3-year limited manufacturer's warranty. Warranty coverage and eligibility are subject to the manufacturer's terms and conditions.

What's included

The generator package includes setup accessories such as oil, an oil funnel, a setup guide, and an owner's manual to help simplify initial preparation. Review the owner's manual for the complete setup and operating instructions before use.
